Microbiology Testing

BVG Life Sciences Limited

Following tests are provided as services at BVGLSL:

This is for identification of microbes at genus level by properly noting down different growth patterns, microscopic and biochemical testing observations and molecular level detection.

Growth pattern: Broth Morphology, Colony Characters on particular media, etc.
Microscopic Observation: Gram staining & Motility type.
Biochemical Tests: Basic Biochemical tests like IMVIC
Molecular identification: This will help to re-identify the said bacteria in future as its characters are well known.

This is to check for the ability of the bacteria to be sensitive or resistant for particular antimicrobial agents at particular concentration.

Single MO against different 5 OR 10 antimicrobial Compounds

This is to check the ability of antimicrobial compound of different origin for its efficacy against various known pathogens like E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp, etc.

Single Compound against different 5 – 7 known pathogens.

Different Formulation types are being prepared under sterile or non-sterile conditions. If the product is meant for the consumption purpose, then it is mandatory to check for its microbial load and presence of specific microorganisms coliforms, topical infection causing MOs and other harmful bacteria and fungi like Clostridium spp. and Aspergillus flavus, etc. if the products contains plant origin raw material.

Microbial Load and presence of specified MOs

This is to test for different bacteria producing biofilm using different techniques and then test these Biofilms for their antimicrobial properties.

Microbial Limit test is to determine the microbial load in the specific product for a defined number of microbes. This needs to be as per certain guidelines depending upon the type of industry and product to be used for. It is also applicable for the Area and Machine where activity will be conducted.

Sterility test is necessary for the testing of material such as Biomedical devices, material which will be given inside body like IV, Injections, Eye drops, etc. to ascertain that the said product is sterile for the use.
